Preferences, interests, and likely purchase tendencies inferred from the categories of information listed above.

We do not collect special category data (including but not limited to health data, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, or biometric data), and we ask that you do not submit any such information to us. If you do, we will delete it as soon as we identify it.

4. How We Collect Your Information

4.1 Directly from You

When you create an account, place an order, subscribe to a plan, complete a contact or feedback form, enter a promotion, or otherwise communicate with us by email or any other channel.

4.2 Automatically via the Website

Through cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, session replay tools, and similar tracking technologies when you visit the Website. See Section 9 and our standalone Cookie Policy for full details.

4.3 From Our Service Providers

Our technology, fulfilment, and payment partners, including our e-commerce platform provider, Shopify, may collect or process information on our behalf to provide the Services.

4.4 From Third Parties

Business and advertising partners, social media platforms (where you interact with our content), analytics providers, and fraud prevention services, where permitted by applicable law.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information on one or more of the following legal grounds.

5.1 Performance of a Contract

Processing is necessary to fulfil your order, manage your subscription, process payments, arrange delivery, handle returns and exchanges, and manage your account with us.

5.2 Consent

Where you have given your explicit, freely given, informed consent, for example, to receive marketing emails, or for the placement of non-essential cookies on your device. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.

5.3 Legitimate Interests

We process certain data where it is in our legitimate business interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. Examples include fraud detection and prevention, improving the Website and Services, analysing marketing performance, and sending service-related communications.

5.4 Legal Obligation

Where processing is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation under applicable law, for example, responding to a court order, a request from a regulatory authority, or satisfying tax and accounting record-keeping requirements.

This Policy is designed to comply with applicable United States privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended, and, where applicable to customers in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.

6. How We Use Your Information

6.1 Order Fulfilment & Service Delivery

To process and fulfil your orders; manage subscriptions and billing cycles; arrange shipping and delivery; process returns, exchanges, and refunds; manage your customer account; send order confirmations, dispatch notifications, delivery updates, and service-related communications; and provide customer support.

6.2 Marketing & Advertising

Where you have opted in, to send you promotional emails, exclusive offers, new product announcements, and personalised product recommendations by email or other channels you have consented to. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us at contact@get-woofy.com. Opting out of marketing will not affect the delivery of transactional or service messages related to active orders or your account.

6.3 Personalisation

To customise your shopping experience, including surfacing product recommendations relevant to your browsing behaviour and purchase history, and tailoring promotional content to your interests.

6.4 Security & Fraud Prevention

To authenticate your identity and account, protect the security of your payment and personal information, detect, investigate, and take action on suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity, and enforce our Terms & Conditions and this Policy.

6.5 Legal & Regulatory Compliance

6.6 Analytics & Service Improvement

To analyse Website usage patterns, identify and resolve technical issues, A/B test site features, measure the performance of marketing campaigns, and develop improvements to the Website and Services.

7. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may share your personal information with the following categories of recipients, strictly for the purposes described in this Policy.

7.1 Service Providers

Third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, order fulfilment and logistics, cloud hosting and infrastructure, IT management, customer support tooling, transactional email delivery, and data analytics. All service providers are contractually bound to process your data only on our documented instructions, to maintain appropriate security standards, and to delete or return your data upon termination of their engagement.

7.2 Our E-Commerce Platform (Shopify)

The Website is built and hosted on Shopify. Please refer to Section 8 below for a full explanation of how Shopify independently processes your data.

7.3 Advertising & Marketing Partners

Where you have not opted out of targeted advertising, we may share certain behavioural and transactional information with advertising technology partners to serve you relevant advertising on our Website and on third-party platforms and social media. You may opt out at any time. See Section 13.

7.4 At Your Direction

When you instruct us to share your information with a third party, for example, through a social media login integration, a referral programme, or by making content publicly available through a feature of the Services.

7.5 Corporate Transactions

In connection with a merger, acquisition, asset sale, restructuring, financing, or insolvency proceeding, your personal information may be transferred to a successor or acquiring entity as part of that transaction. We will notify you by email and post a notice on the Website if such a transfer materially affects your rights under this Policy, and you will have the opportunity to exercise applicable rights before the transfer takes effect.

7.6 Legal Requirements & Safety

Where required or permitted by applicable law, court order, or government or regulatory authority; to enforce our legal rights or defend legal claims; or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent or respond to a threat to the safety of any person.

We require all third-party recipients of your personal information to implement and maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures, and to process your data only for specified, lawful purposes consistent with this Policy.

8. Our Relationship with Shopify

Our Website and Services are built and hosted on the Shopify e-commerce platform. As a result, Shopify collects and processes certain personal information as part of providing its platform services to us and, indirectly, to you.

What this means for you: Some of your personal information is processed both by Woofy (as data controller) and by Shopify (as both a data processor on our behalf and, in certain circumstances, as an independent data controller). For data that Shopify processes in its own right, Shopify's own privacy policy and consumer rights portal apply.

  • To understand how Shopify uses your personal information, visit: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy
  • To exercise your data rights in relation to information processed by Shopify: https://privacy.shopify.com/en
  • Shopify operates global infrastructure and may process your information on servers located in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union.

Woofy uses certain Shopify platform features, including personalised advertising, analytics, and merchant tools, that may incorporate aggregated or anonymised data from your interactions with our store and, in some cases, with other merchants on the Shopify platform. Where Shopify uses this data independently of our instructions, it acts as an independent data controller for those processing activities.

9. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

What this means for you: We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Website working, remember your preferences, and, with your consent, to personalise your experience and show you relevant advertising. You are in control.

For a detailed breakdown of every cookie category, specific cookie names, their purpose, duration, and how to manage them, please refer to our standalone Cookie Policy, published at https://www.get-woofy.com/pages/cookie-policy.

9.1 What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. We also use pixel tags, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies that function alongside cookies.

9.2 Categories of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: essential to the operation of the Website. They enable core functions such as security, account login, shopping cart management, and checkout. These cookies cannot be disabled and do not require your consent.
  • Functional Cookies: allow the Website to remember choices you make (such as your language, region, or currency) to provide a more personalised experience. These are enabled by default but can be disabled via your cookie preferences.
  • Analytics Cookies: help us understand how visitors interact with the Website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. Used only with your prior consent.
  • Marketing & Advertising Cookies: used to build a profile of your interests and serve you relevant advertisements on our Website and on third-party platforms, including social media. They also allow us to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Used only with your prior consent.

9.3 Managing Your Cookie Preferences

When you first visit the Website, a cookie consent banner will be displayed. You may accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category. You may update your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of the Website, or by adjusting your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies is not possible without affecting the core functionality of the Website.

9.4 Global Privacy Control

Where the Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out preference signal is detected on your browser, we will treat this as a request to opt out of non-essential cookies and targeted advertising for that specific device and browser session. To learn more about the GPC, visit https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. We do not currently recognise other "Do Not Track" browser signals.

10. International Data Transfers

Your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may not always provide the same level of data protection laws as your home jurisdiction.

Where we transfer personal information originating from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK) to a third country not recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission (for EEA transfers); or
  • UK International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTAs) issued by the UK Information Commissioner's Office (for UK transfers); or
  • any other recognised transfer mechanism permitted under applicable data protection law.

Where we rely on a third-party service provider (such as Shopify) to facilitate international transfers, we ensure that the transfer mechanisms used by those providers are consistent with the requirements of applicable law. If you wish to obtain a copy of the safeguards we rely on for any specific international transfer, please contact us at contact@get-woofy.com.

11. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable law. In determining appropriate retention periods, we consider the following factors:

  • Whether you maintain an active account or active subscription with us;
  • Legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting obligations, including the retention of financial and accounting records for the minimum periods required by applicable tax law;
  • The need to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or defend or bring legal claims, in line with the applicable statute of limitations;
  • Any consent-based processing will cease upon withdrawal of consent, subject to any overriding legal basis that applies; and
  • The sensitivity of the data and the potential risk of harm from unauthorised access or disclosure.

Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, we will securely delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal information. Where immediate deletion is not technically feasible (for example, in automated backup systems), we will isolate the data from further active processing and schedule it for deletion at the earliest practicable opportunity.

12. Children's Privacy

What this means for you: Our Website is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.

The Services are directed exclusively at adults. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or process personal information from individuals under the age of 18 years. If you are under 18, you must not use the Website or provide any personal information to us.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at contact@get-woofy.com. We will investigate and delete the information promptly upon verification. We do not knowingly sell, share, or otherwise disclose the personal information of individuals under the age of 16 for advertising or commercial purposes.

13. Your Rights & Choices

What this means for you: You have real, meaningful rights over your personal information. Exercising them is free, and we will never treat you differently for doing so.

Depending on your country or region of residence, you may have some or all of the following rights:

13.1 Right to Access / Know

You may request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you and, if so, receive a copy of it together with details of how it is being processed.

13.2 Right to Rectification / Correction

You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you without undue delay.

13.3 Right to Erasure / Deletion

You may request deletion of your personal information. We will comply unless we are required or permitted to retain it, for example, to fulfil a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or enforce an agreement.

13.4 Right to Restriction of Processing

You may request that we restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances, for example, where you contest the accuracy of the data or have objected to processing and a decision is pending.

13.5 Right to Data Portability

Where processing is based on your consent or on a contract, and is carried out by automated means, you have the right to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (such as CSV), and to request that we transmit it directly to another data controller where technically feasible.

13.6 Right to Object

You have the right to object at any time to processing of your personal information that is based on our legitimate interests, including profiling for direct marketing purposes. Where you object to direct marketing, we will cease processing immediately and without exception.

13.7 Right to Withdraw Consent

Where we rely on your consent as the legal basis for processing, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

13.8 Right to Opt Out of Targeted Advertising

You have the right to opt out of the use of your personal information for targeted advertising, or any "sale" or "sharing" of your data as defined under applicable privacy law (including the California Consumer Privacy Act, where applicable). To exercise this right, please email contact@get-woofy.com with the subject line "OPT OUT, TARGETED ADVERTISING", or manage your preferences via the Cookie Preferences link in our Website footer.

13.9 Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you, including by denying services, charging different prices, or providing a different quality of service, for exercising any of your privacy rights.

13.10 Right to Lodge a Complaint

See Section 14 below.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of the rights above, please email contact@get-woofy.com with the subject line "PRIVACY RIGHTS REQUEST" and a clear description of your request. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request to protect your information from unauthorised access. Verification will typically involve confirming your registered email address and order details. We will not charge any fee for responding to a rights request.

You may also designate an authorised agent to submit requests on your behalf. We will require the agent to provide proof of your authorisation and may request that you verify your identity directly with us before we act on the request. For rights relating to personal information processed by Shopify as an independent data controller, please visit: https://privacy.shopify.com/en

14. Complaints

We take privacy complaints seriously and will work to resolve them fairly and promptly. If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at contact@get-woofy.com with the subject line "PRIVACY COMPLAINT". We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and aim to resolve your complaint within 30 calendar days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, or if you wish to escalate your complaint directly to a regulatory authority, you may contact the relevant authority for your jurisdiction:

15. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational security measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, alteration, or disclosure. Our measures include:

  • Encryption of all data transmitted between your browser and our Website using SSL/TLS technology;
  • Restricted access to personal information on a strict need-to-know basis, with role-based access controls;
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring of our systems;
  • Contractual security obligations imposed on all third-party service providers who process data on our behalf; and
  • Secure storage of payment information in compliance with PCI-DSS standards via our payment processor.

However, no method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We strongly advise that you do not share your password or account access details with any third party and that you use a strong, unique password for your Woofy account. Please notify us immediately at contact@get-woofy.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

16. Third-Party Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, social media platforms, and online services that are not operated or controlled by Woofy. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their privacy practices, security standards, or content. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party website you visit before providing any personal information. Our inclusion of a hyperlink to a third-party website does not constitute an endorsement of that website, its content, its owners, or its operators, except as otherwise explicitly stated on the Website.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices, the Services we offer, applicable law, or for other operational or regulatory reasons.

When we make material changes, meaning changes that meaningfully affect how we collect, use, or share your personal information, or that reduce your rights, we will:

  • update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page;
  • post the revised Policy on the Website; and
  • send advance notice by email to the address associated with your account, at least 14 calendar days before the updated Policy takes effect, so that you have the opportunity to review the changes and, if you do not agree, discontinue use or cancel any active subscriptions before the effective date.

For minor or administrative changes (such as corrections to formatting or contact details), we will update the Policy and the "Last Updated" date without individual notification. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
